We are thankful to be home owners. Since November. We were able to have a family gathering in out new house. We love that we live on a Court and the kids are especially enjoying bike riding on sunny days. This week we had all the boys sick with a cough and cold. It feels like we have been indoors forever! Tomorrow is Saturday so we MUST have a picnic outdoors, even if it is in the back yard. Poor Nehemiah got a big owie and ended up in the ER. He got his fingers smashed on the hinge side of the door. Poor guy. I have been extra careful about making sure the kids don't close the doors suddenly. Thankfully no broken bones. My husband has been radically working on his health. He has been eating THM style with me. Pretty much a carb conscious eating. He cut out all sugar, white flour, and his big weakness soda and has been getting on the treadmill. Praying God will bless his efforts towards a healthier lifestyle. I will be 12 weeks pregnant this Saturday! I am slowly coming out of the constant nausea and exhaustion. Been able to do much much more around here. I am praying that God would help me to walk by faith and not by fear. As I have had 3 miscarriages in the past. After everything I never thought I would be pregnant again, so the fact that I am carrying this little one is a miracle to me! I am being cared for a Naprotechnology doctor that is monitoring my progesterone closely and dosing me according to my body's needs. I am very excited about this. I really see God's hand leading me and providing for me. Just to think that in JUST 8 weeks we will find out baby's gender is sooooo exciting. Of course we are hoping for Pink....but if God chooses to give me a little boy, I will love him to pieces~! Isela is praying hard for a baby sister. She just had a birthday. 9 years old. She is such a sweet loving daughter. I am so amazingly blessed. My boys are growing so fast! Samuel is outgrowing all his clothes, I love to hear him read.... and Nathan is Samuel's little shadow. They are inseparable! Nehemiah is such a darling boy. He helps me clear the table and helps me load the dryer. Today he melted my heart as he was helping me in the kitchen and he said " I wuv you mom." It is a sweet special blessing to open my eyes to a smiling little face, and a soft little baby hand on my face." God pours out his love on me through my little ones. I am so thankful that neither Isela, Dad, nor I got sick this week. God's mercy.
I was so blessed by this post:
ENJOY YOUR WORK
Do you have lots of work to do today. I do too.
Ecclesiastes 3:13 says: "That everyone should eat and drink and take
pleasure in all his toil--this is God's gift to man." Maybe you have a
big pile of laundry that must get done. Instead of sighing about it,
take pleasure in it! Sing while you organize it. Gather some of the
children and teach them how you do it.
You've got to clean a certain room. Enjoy doing it. Praise the Lord for
the joy of accomplishing another task. This is the joy of work. God
gives work to us as a gift. When we work hard physically, we enjoy a
good night's rest. As we work, we get creative ideas on how to do things
better or create something new altogether. New inventions and creations
always come out of work. We revel in the joy of completing a task.
Your mothering is your greatest work. What a blessed work. It is a good
work. It is the work the Lord has given you. Rejoice and take pleasure
in it today.
Blessings from Nancy Campbell
Funny, because that morning I woke up and looked around feeling overwhelmed by the workload for the day. Then I prayed, "God let me REST as I work for you. Let me rest in your work, Let your work be my rest." God is so good!
